
Internship Program
The key program Farrand Farm will focus on in our first year is culinary training through internships for individuals at various levels. During this period interns will learn a variety of critical skills related to farm to fork cooking. Including hands-on work on an organic farm, kitchen skills, understanding ingredients and sustainable cooking models and what it’s like to work with award winning chefs in a higher end environment.
Internships can range from one day to 10 weeks. Please let us know how long you’d like to spend with us in the form below.
Key program outcomes:
High level culinary training by award winning chefs: time management, communication skills, team work, business skills
Build confidence working in a professional kitchen
Provide interns with a network of chefs to learn and potentially work with post internship
Working within a culturally diverse environment and learning about culturally diverse foods
Understanding of local food systems and experience on a working farm
